        In order to ensure safe and economic operation of the boiler, ensure the personal safety, boiler operating personnel must strictly carry out the relevant regulations and procedures of steam boiler safety technology supervision.

The Preparation of before Start oil and gas boiler:

  • Internal and external inspection: confirm the boiler body, burning machine, accessory equipment in good condition; safety accessories, each valves and instrument are flexible and stayed accurate location.

  • Check the line voltage reach the requirements or not, all kinds of switch is normal, start the pump, combustion engine fan, pumps and other auxiliary respectively to see operation is normal or not.

  • Feed water into boiler: open the drain valve to make the water level up to the normal water level(slightly below the water level)

  • Begin to Operate:

  • Oil and gas boiler is the program to start. Press the start button on the control ark and the combustion engine fan motor begin the programmed-start. First step is furnace purging about 2 minutes and then automatic ignition and stable combustion.

  • After the ignition, the worker should adjust combustion according to the required amount of load and them boiler operates normally.

  • The operator should monitor the water level change closely in the process of operation to prevent water shortage accident or filled with water accident.

  • Boosting Pressure:

  • When the steam pressure rises to 0.05-0.1Mpa, worker should flush water gauge.

  • When the steam pressure rise to 0.1-0.15Mpa, worker should flush the trap tube of pressure gauge.

  • When steam pressure rises to the rated working pressure, the newly installed boiler safely valve and the relief valve after repaired should be debugging in accordance with the relevant provisions and seal. The relief valve during the validity period of maintenance should take discharge test.

  • Warm Tube and Make two Boilers Work Together:

  • In order to prevent the steam supply producing water hammer, warm tube should be done before steam supply, it will take when steam pressure up to two-thirds of the rated pressure in common situation. The time of warm tube can be calculated according to pipe length and the ambient temperature.

  • When two boilers' steam supply to the same steam mother tube must be conducted in accordance with the provision and furnace operation.

  • Normal Operation

    Water Level:

  • Boiler water level gauge should have a red line to indicate the high, medium and low water level, in the operation, water level shall not exceed the maximum safe level or below the minimum safety level.

  • Water gauge should be washed at least once per class, when there is a doubt that water level is not right, the work should check at any time and as soon as possible.

  • The boiler worker need to test high and low level alarm at least once a month.

  • Vapor Pressure:Pressure gauges shall be red line to indicate work pressure sensitively and reliably. Trap tube should be flush at least once a week.

    Safety Valve:The relief valve should be seal in good condition and without leakage. Take a emission test once a week, some statistics should be recorded in the maintenance record book for reference, such as start pressure, opening pressure, back pressure and test time, participants.

    Drain Contamination

  • Under the guidance of the water quality test staff and according to the requirements of the boiler water quality to take 1-2 times per shift. Drainage time should not too long, generally no more than 10 minutes.

  • Drainage should be taken in low load and low steam pressure, high water level. The best time is after the boiler stop. The change of water level should be monitored closely during drainage and pay attention to safety.

  • When more than one boiler share a sewage, discharge at the same time is prohibited.

  •  

     

    Normal Stop Running Furnace:In common condition of stop running boiler, boiler should be generally reduce the load of boiler operation and then press the stop switch of boiler, boiler will be stopped by the program automatically. Start the water pump to make water to the high water level, after waiting boiler steam pressure reduce to 0.3 Mpa, the worker can wash water gauge and take drainage operation, and finally close the main steam valve and cut off the power in control cabinet. If u need to draw off water, you should wait temperature lower than 70℃.

     

    Emergency Stop Running Furnace: When you encounter one of the following circumstances in the operation, u should stop the furnace immediately.

     

  • Boiler water level below the lowest invisible water level indicator;

  • Use many ways to increase water supply instantly, but water level continues to decline;

  • Boiler water level beyond the highest invisible water level indicator, after drawing off, the water still can not meet water level;

  • All pump failure or water supply system failure, can not feed water into the boiler;

  • All water gauge and relief valve failure;All pressure gauges in the vapor space are out of work;

  • Boiler components of safety have been damaged and endanger the running;

  • Furnace wall collapse, boiler combustion equipment damage or the boiler structure was burned red and some other serious threat to the safe operation of the boiler;

  • Other unusual situations endanger the safe operation of the boiler;

  • An acute shortage of water in the boiler should stop furnace urgently, it is forbidden to feed water into the pot;

  •  

    Preparatory work of repair boiler:

     

  • Before entering the drum to make internal work, the worker must use metal board to separate steam, water supply and drainage pipes in a reliable way. Open manhole and hand hole on the drum to make the air convection a little time.

  • Before entering the combustion chamber work, the worker should partition the source of the oil and gas reliably. Ventilation must be conducted.

  • The working voltage should not more than 24 V during drum shell and combustion chamber work. It is prohibited to use naked light lighting. The outside of boiler should have people to monitor.

  •  

    Repair and Maintenance

     

    Quarterly maintenance:

     

  • Cleaning the mesh of pump inlet filter and oil filter

  • Check the water pump seal packing, etc

  • Open manhole and hand hole to clean boiler furnace, check the internal condition of fouling and corrosion of boiler to certain the regeneration cycle of water treatment and to decide whether need chemical to clean.

  • Clean water level gauge, three-way cock and check them leaks or not.

  • Check the line is loose or not in control box and clean the dust.

  • Check all valves are in good condition and clean.

  • Add lubricating oil into rotating parts of the mechanical or replace lubricating oil.

  • Annual maintenance:

     

  • Open the fire door of smoke box, check the condition of sealing gasket and corrosion to decide whether to replace or clean up.

  • Open the front smoke box to check the burner is good situation or not.

  • Check the corrosion conditions of the water supply and drainage pipelines.

  • Check the insulation of motor, electric appliances, circuit and cable.

  • Check the correctness of each instrument, button and pressure gauge in the electric meter boxes.

  • Maintenance

  • Dry maintenance:After boiler stop, the worker need to draw off the water and remove and rinse the internal dirt thoroughly. Put 10-30mm diameter massive limestone(CaCO3) or anhydrous calcium(CaCl2) in enamel disc after drying the furnace, and then take a regular inspection(such as a month) or replace water absorbent.

     

    Wet maintenance:After boiler stop, the worker need to draw off the water and remove and rinse the internal dirt thoroughly. And then inject water into furnace together with preparation of alkali solution. The shorter standby period can be used wet maintenance and the long standby boiler mainly recommend anti-corrosion maintenance.
