Self-aligning ball bearing(2301)  has two rows of balls and a common sphered raceway in the outer ring.  The bearings are consequently self-aligning and insensitive to shaft deflections and angular mis-alignment of the shaft related to the housing. Moreover, self-aligning ball bearing generates less friction than any other type of rolling bearings, which enables them to run cooler even in high operation speed. 
Self-aligning ball bearings are available with either a cylindrical or taper bore. Bearings with a taper bore can be mounted directly on a shaft or on an adapter or withdrawal sleeve.

• Straight bore for fitting on a conventional cylindrical shaft
• Open configuration for lubrication applied in place
