Mixer in the mortar mixing tank
 

 

1. Function


The mixer in the mortar mixing tank (see attached drawing) is a special mixer whose function is to get ground lime and water etc thoroughly mixed into mortar to be poured so that it can be made into autoclave aerated concrete blocks.

 

2. Technical specifications

3.Structure


The mixer is composed of the following parts: cycloidal-pin gear speed reducer, shaft, steel channel and mixer.
a) The speed reducer is of a cycloidal-pin gear type and is vertically mounted.
b) The shaft and the mixer are welded together.

 

4.Operation


The mixer is used for the purpose of mixing ground lime and water into mortar to be used for the pouring so that it can be made into autoclave aerated concrete blocks.
The mixer is driven by the cycloidal-pin gear speed reducer. The speed reducer rotates in a counterclockwise direction (looking from the top), driving the mixer to rotate so that ground lime and water are thoroughly mixed into mortar.

 

 

5.Trial running and adjustment


a) Trial running:
When the mixer is fixed together, rotate it without any load. The speed reducer should be able to rotate normally without any jamming or abnormal noise. The mixer should not tilt and should rotate in a balanced way without jerking or swinging.
b) Adjustment
i.If jamming or abnormal noise occurs in the speed reducer, disassemble and check it or add pads on the bearing seat for adjustment.
ii.If the mixer tilts or shakes, add pads between the bearing seat and the beam frame for adjustment.

 

 

6.Maintenance


a) Daily care
i.Do not leave any mortar in the tank at the end of each shift lest the mortar deposit and destroyed the machine when restarted.
ii.Re-fill lubricating oil whenever its level is found to be lower than the marking. The lubricating oil should be replaced every six months.
iii.The tank and the mixer should be rinsed clean after each shift.
b) Maintenance:
A weekly check of the fasteners at all locations should be performed. Loose fasteners should be retightened and damaged ones should be replaced. 
Safety:
Switch off the power and stop mixing before doing the rinsing.
