Process Description:
The adsorption capacity and adsorption ratio of adsorbent for different gases are different following the different pressures. When the adsorbent selects adsorption condition, pressurization adsorbing the components easy to be adsorbed (usually it is physical absorption) in the mixture, and when the adsorption bed decompresses, desorbing these adsorbed components to regenerate the adsorbent.
Although the concept is simple, the application of PSA is very complex, because it includes the design of multicolumn, and a series of non-isothermal, non-isobaric and unstable cycling adsorption operations are finished on the multicolumn, which includes adsorption, desorption and purging, etc., and it can control the recovery rate of the product gas purity and the optimization of separation operation.
