PARACETAMOL AND DICLOFENAC SODIUM TABLETS 500MG+50MG
Composition:
Each tablet contains Paracetamol 500mg and Diclofenac Sodium 50mg.
Pharmacokinetics:
Diclofenac is a NSAID. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic. When used together, the actions of
paracetamol set in earlier and provides pain relief before the effects of diclofenac Na set in.
Indications:
DIPARAZEM provides effective relief from headache, toothache, period pains, rheumatic pain, backache,
arthritic pain, sprains, strains, soft tissue injuries, gout, frozen shoulder, tendon pain and muscular pain.
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Diclofenac sodium.
Active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding, history of allergic responses to aspirin or other NSAIDs, acute porphyria.
Dosage and directions for use:
Adults and Children over 12 years: One tablet to be taken three times a day with or after food. These tablets
should not be given to children under the age of 12 unless directed by the physician.
Warnings and Special Precautions:
Analgesic nephropathy, renal or hepatic impairment, hypertension, cardiac failure, bronchospasm, patients
taking diuretics and elderly, lactation.
Dosages in excess of those recommended can cause severe liver damage.
Prolonged excessive use may cause irreversible kidney damage.
Patients suffering from liver or kidney disease should only take Paracetamol under medical supervision.
Consult your doctor if no relief is obtained from the recommended dosage. Do not use continuously for more
than 10 days without consulting your doctor.
Adverse Effects:
GI disturbances, nephrotic syndrome, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, hepatitis, rash, pruritus,
wheezing, bronchospasm, prolonged bleeding time.
Potentially Fatal: Bleeding or perforation through peptic ulcer, rarely blood dyscrasia or anaphylaxis, acute
renal failure.
Drug Interactions:
Potentiates potassium-sparing diuretics. Reduced serum levels of salicylates.
Potentially Fatal: Increased levels of lithium, digoxin and methotrexate.
Storage instructions:
Store below 25. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
