Coal-fired Hot Blast Furnace Matched With Industrial Drying Equipment
Equipment Introduction
Common coal-fired hot blast stove includes manual feeding burning stove, chain grate stove, the
fluidized bed combustion boiler, etc., the furnace will be chosen according to different operating
condition.
Manual feeding burning stove is one of the most simple in layer combustion furnaces, which named from
that the completion of adding coal, poke the fire, slag removal by manual work. The fuel can be coal,
wood, biomass and other materials, which is welcomed by the dryer users. Wide adaptability in all
kinds of coal, the operation is easy to be handled, but with heavy labor intensity. Due to the coal is
added periodically, which leads the imbalance of supply and demand and the cyclical change of
combustion process, and also the economic efficiency of furnace is reduced, sometimes with black
smoke. To save energy, eliminate smoke and control dust, the method of “add coal frequently, add coal
in small quantity, add coal quickly and add coal evenly” can adopted in the operation.
Chain grate furnace, mechanical coaling is realized by using light chain grate furnace, which equipped
with blower, induced draft fan to do mechanical ventilation, and the automatic operation is realized with
scraper slag extractor. The new type and energy saving furnace arch is adopted in front and tail furnace
arch, the coal falls onto the furnace grate from the coal bucket and get burned after getting into the
furnace chamber, the flame is folded to the front smoke box after reflecting by the tail arch and upward
through the two sides’ combustion chamber, and then reentered the furnace pipelines and get into the
coal saving device through the tail smoke box, and finally exhausted into atmosphere through the flue to
the chimney driven by the induced draft fan.
The fluidized bed combustion boiler is one kind of new coal combustion technology developed in recent
years, the coal dust broken to a certain particle size and blew by the wind, to form the boiling
combustion in the furnace chamber at a certain height. When air flow through the static granular
material layer by bottom - up approach, if the velocity exceeds a certain limit, the powder layer begins
to bulge, squirm with mobility, and turns to be false fluid state, the process known as fluidization of bulk
material layer. The material after fluidization stirs up and down, similar as the boiling of the fluid, and so
it’s also called boiling layer. The thermal devices of using this method to handle material is called
fluidized bed combustion boiler.
The prominent advantage of fluidized bed combustion boiler is the wide adaptability to coals, which can
burn bituminous coal, anthracite, lignite coal and coal gangue. Another advantage of it is to make fuel
combustion fully, so that it can obtain higher fuel efficiency.
