Austenitic stainless steel, refers to the austenitic stainless steel at room temperature. The steel contains about 18% Cr, 8%~10% Ni, C about 0.1%, with a stable austenite structure. Austenitic chromium nickel stainless steel, including the famous 18Cr-8Ni steel and on the basis of this increased the content of Cr, Ni and join the development of Mo, Cu, Si, Nb, Ti elements of high Cr Ni steel series. Austenitic stainless steel nonmagnetic and has a high toughness and ductility, but its strength is low, it is not possible to through the transformation of the enhanced, only by cold working hardening, such as the addition of S, CA, Se, te element has good machinability.

Description:

 

This kind of steel except for corrosion resistance to oxidizing acid medium, if containing Mo and Cu elements can resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and formic acid, acetic acid, urea and other corrosion. If the carbon content in the steel is less than 0.03% or Ti and Ni, the corrosion resistance of the steel can be improved significantly. High silicon austenitic stainless steel has good corrosion resistance to concentrated nitric acid.
