Calcined Petroleum coke, produced in the process of thermal craking of the heavy oil, is irregularly shaped, large and small black block (or particles), with metallic luster, coke particles with porous structure, the main elements of carbon( more than 80wt%), and the rest of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen , sulfur and metal elements. Petroleum coke is mainly used in producing carbon products, smelting steel, nonferrous metal and aluminum, making silicon carbide products such as grinding wheel,sand paper and abrasive paper, making commercial carbide for the production of synthetic fiber and acetylene, etc.
