Abstract of thrust ball bearing
This kind of bearing can be classified into two kinds. The single-direction thrust ball bearing consists of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball-cage assembly. The bearing is separable facilitating the separate mounting of the shaft washer, housing washer and ball-cage assembly. It can withstand axial load in one direction and conduct axial locating in one direction but they must not be subject to any radial load.
The double-direction thrust ball bearing consists of a shaft washer, two housing washers and two ball-cage assemblies. It is also separable and all the parts can be mounted independently. It uses the same shaft washer, housing washer and ball-cage assembly as the single-direction thrust ball bearing.
