2. Description of Red Galvanized Steel Type I Safety Can - 5 Gallon Capacity

        Compliant and economical Type I Safety Cans reduce fire risks and make everyday use of flammables easier and safer. Protection features include a 3.5 inches (88 millimeters) long chemical resistant stainless steel flame arrester that stops flashback ignition, provides faster liquid flow, and offers exceptional durability.

        The self-venting, self-closing leakproof lid prevents ruptures from pressure build-up and controls vapors and spills. Warning label includes an extra-large ID zone for user labeling of contents to avoid misuse, reduce the potential for incompatible mixtures, or may be used to designate department or individual owner. Made of galvanized steel with a tough powder paint finish.

Galvanized safety cans meet OSHA and NFPA Code 30 requirements and are UL and ULC listed and FM Approved for safe handling and storage of gasoline and other flammable liquids

Safety cans are constructed of 24-gauge hot dipped galvanized steel. Other manufacturers’ safety cans use lead coated terne steel

Accepted under CARB, UL, ULC and FM approved

Also available in blue for the storage of kerosene, yellow for the storage of diesel and green for the storage of combustible liquids, such as oils.
