1.2842 steel is an oil-hardening,high-carbon,high-chromium cold work tool steels. It's known as group O steels consisting of O1, O2, O6, and O7 types.
1.2842 steel is easy forging with good machinability and strong resistance to thermal sensitivity .
1.2842 steel has high hardness and wear resistance and good punching ability .
1.2842 steel is widely used for plastic molds , and thickness less than 6mm stamping die , cutting tools . With hardness 58-60HRC after heat treatment.
