Description of the goods: hot rolled round bars without peeling from:
steel grade 45 according to GOST 1050-88, GOST 2590-88 of standard rolling accuracy B, with surface quality group 2 GP.
Steel grades and chemical composition (from ladle test), %:
Grade C45 – GOST 1050-88: C 0.42-0.50; Mn 0.50-0.90; Si 0.17-0.37; Cr Max 0.25; S Max
0.03; P Max 0.035; Ni Max 0.35; Cu Max 0.35.
Allowed deviation of piece analysis, from norms of chemical composition, mentioned above, %:
Grade C45 – GOST 1050-88: C +/-0,02; Mn +/-0,05; Si +/-0,05; Ni + 0,05; Cr + 0,05; P, S + 0,005; Cu + 0,05.
Heat treatment: antiflake treatment of all grades of bars.
Mechanical properties for steel grade 45 acc.to GOST 1050-88
Note: Statistical check of mechanical properties according to the plant's methods for steel grade 45 is allowed. In case of controversy mechanical properties shall be checked as specified herewith.
Bars length of diameter:
200-240 mm: 4000-6000 +/- 100 mm – 100%
250-280 mm: 5000-6000+/- 100 mm – 100%
Straightness: not more 5 mm/m and maximum 30mm for all length
Bars diameter tolerance: according to GOST 2590-88
Bars ends are to be sawn perpendicularly to axis. Burrs and centric holes are not allowed. The cut obliquity – not more than 0,1 of diameter.
The macrostructure: should be free from shrinkage, porosity, bubbles, exfoliation, internal cracks, slag contamination and flakes.
The grain size: 5-9 marks ASTM E112
Ultrasonic test:
For diameters 200-280 mm - 100 % of bars acc. to SEP1921, cl. C/c group 3.
Quality certificate mentioning that the material is free from mercury and harmful radioactive contamination.
It's permissible to remove defects on surface of rolled bars without peeling on the depth not more than 6 mm for diameters 200 mm and not more than 8 mm for diameters 210-280 mm.
Negligible mechanical injuries (marks, scratches,
dents etc.) on the depth not more than limit of
diameter tolerance are allowed without cleaning.
In one bar section is allowed not more than two cleanings
on maximum depth, with this the width of cleaning must be not less than fifthly of its depth.
Packing: bundle weight 6 MT;
Bars of one size, one grade, one heat are in each bundle. Bars of short length are in separate bundles.
Marking: each bundle has 2 tags with heat number, steel grade, size, bundle weight, Manufacturer contract No.
The stamp indicating heat Nr. and steel grade on the end of each bar.
Sizes and quantity, MT:
Quantity tolerance: +/- 15 % per size and
+/- 10% for entire.
