Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate is a highly effective crosslinker for paper and paperboard coatings . It is widely used as water resistant agent and water repellent agent . It's solid content is more than 30% and it is colorless transparent liquid. Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate (AZC) is used as a crosslinker to insolubilise starch, protein, acrylics and latex binders in applications such as paper, paperboard and glass fibre wall coverings. The crosslinking action of Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate can be used in water based inks to improve adhesion and scrub resistance. Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate is a clear, aqueous alkaline solution of with a strong ammoniacal odor containing approximately 16-20% ZrO2.
