Product Description
The throat bush on Slurry pump is a liner that is located in the coverplate of the pump. The throat bush helps to direct the flow of slurry efficiently into the eye or centre of the impeller. Various materials can be used to meet the demands of the slurry being pumped.
Customer Wear and Tear Advice
Wear identification: The throat bush will typically wear at the point where it directs the flow into the impeller. Wear will also be noticeable on the outer edges where contact with the volute liner is made. To improve the life of the throat bush the impeller must be adjusted regularly so that it is as close to the throat bush as possible. This prevents excessive recirculation of the slurry between the impeller and the throat bush. We always carry out this adjustment when servicing your pump.
