Constant Velocity joint. It is similar to a u-joint (universal joint) but is covered with a boot full of grease - at least that is the most obvious difference. Allows a constant velocity in and out regardless of the angle, whereas a u-joint does not. the CV joints on the Camaro (and most cars) are located on the axle shafts that run from the differential to the wheels
