Sintered SmCo has the big advantage over other magnets that it is very resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Making it the preferred magnet where high temperatures or very corrosive environments play a role, like in high temperature magnet couplings, or performance critical submarine propulsion systems.
There are two types of SmCo magnets:
There are two types of SmCo magnets:
- SmCo5 This type has a typical Remanence of ~910 mT and a maximum working temperature of ~250ºC.
- Sm2Co17 Of this type we supply a hole range of grades ranging form a typical Remanence of ~960-1150 mT and a maximum working temperature of ~350ºC.
Both types can be produced in all shapes and sizes you might require.
