This is a great tool that effectively resets the airbag light. No need to replace your airbag module. I successfully reset the airbag light after an airbag deployed, due to an accident. It should also reset airbag lights due to random VW electronic glitches. It worked on my 04 Jetta TDI, so it should work on many other VWs and Audis. The list below list some of the common airbag modules it is compliant with, although it also seems to work on others(like mines, which was not listed). The reset process takes less than 30 seconds. How it works:

 

1.Connect to Diagnostic connector(typically below the steering column). Then....

Right button is to erase 'Crash Data'. Push and hold for 15-20 seconds. Green light should iluminate and your done.

Back-Left button is to reset Error Codes due to random VW. Push and hold for a few seconds(depending on how many errors you have)
