HTHP shale dilatometer is used to measure the expanding property of shale in the simulant downhole conditions that the temperature is under 120℃ and differential pressure is 3.5MPa. It provides a kind of advanced measuring method for researching the stability of borehole face, evaluating and choosing the good drilling-fluid formula that can prevent excessive penetration. At the same time, it can also be used to analyze the function of all kinds of distention inhibiting agent and optimizing the additive concentration.
