Neodymiumpermanent magnets (Nd-Fe-B) are dark gray alloy . They are composed ofNeodymium, Iron , Boron and a few transition metals. Density of Neodymiummagnets is .27Lb/in3 (7.5g/cm3).
Neodymium magnets are manufactured in a metallurgyprocess through alloying,crushing, powdering,pressing w/magnetic orientation,sintering, then cutting,coating, inspecting andpacking beforeshipment.

3.Coating/Plating
Nd-Fe-B magnets are moreprone to oxidation than any other magnet alloys. If Nd-Fe-B magnet is to beexposed to humidity, chemically aggressive media such as acids, alkalinesolutions salts and harmful gases, coating is recommended. It is not recommendedin a hydrogen atmosphere.
