- Run warm water through the glass pipe. The water could make the pipe slippery so be careful holding it to make sure it does not drop or fracture.
- Place a small amount of rubbing alcohol into a plastic sandwich bag. Use enough so that the bottom of the sandwich bag is completely filled and the pipe is mostly covered when placed inside.

- Place the bag with the pipe in it inside the microwave and microwave it for 10 seconds. If you put it in for longer, the bag could melt or the pipe could be damaged.
