3 Tips for Choosing the Right Bathroom Vanity
1. Choose Where to Place the Vanity
The vanity serves several functions in your bathroom so it needs space to perform properly. Place it for good traffic flow, even when drawers or doors are open, and check that they don’t slam into other fixtures or block the entry when you open them. There should be adequate wall space above the vanity for lighting and a mirror or medicine cabinet, and room to comfortably clean all areas around the vanity.
While deciding location, learn if the plumbing will need to be moved or modified. To wit, moving the vanity further away from the toilet and tub or shower requires extending plumbing lines, or changing from a floor-mounted to a wall-mounted vanity requires rerouting drains and pipes.
