1) For pesticides: plant growth regulator 5-nitroguaiacol sodium can be synthesized;
2) For medicine: used to synthesize a variety of anti-inflammatory , such as potassium (calcium) guaiacol sulfonate, ibuprofen guaiacol ester and guaiacol glycerol ether;
3) Used in the fragrance industry: in addition to being directly used as aroma raw materials, it can also be used to manufacture vanillin and artificial musk;
4) It is used as an antioxidant in the cosmetics industry, a phenolic antioxidant with strong antioxidant effect, but the general addition amount should not be too much, and usually needs to be used in conjunction with synergists and metal ion chelators;
5) In chemical production is also used as other organic synthesis intermediates, also as gelling agent, printing oil as antioxidant, analytical reagent and so on.
